The Three Grandfathers – Oil on Panel

Modern Mexico is made up from many different cultures, mostly Native groups -a huge variety that existed before the Conquest-, mixed with Spanish, and other immigrants. Africans are very present, specially in the south part of the country. The three ancestors of most Mexicans are represented as they lived in the XVI Century, when they collided for the first time. Painting is wired and framed. Frame is 2 1/2″ thick.
