Black Mammy Dolls
Sweet little Black Mammy Dolls 100% hand-made at my home studio in New London, Connecticut. I make this type of doll in 3 different sizes, small, medium and large.
They are made out of my original pattern, the materials I used are muslin, fiberfill, acrylic paints, quilting thread, calico, cotton fabric, knitting yarn, and buttons.
The head, and legs are hand stitched to the torso, and the arms are button-jointed and movable. Arms bent at elbows. Nose, lips, ears, and fingers are needle sculpted. Face is hand painted.
They wear a cotton petticoat, calico dress, calico ribbons, and matching hand painted boots. Clothes are not removable.
Hair is needle felted black yarn.
